The average temperature last month was 74.0 degrees. That is 3.2 degrees warmer than normal. “That makes it the seventh warmest July since 1845,” according to Bill Gregway, local observer for the National Weather Service. “Last July wound up number six; it was 74.1.”
The H. Lee White Marine Museum will be closed Sunday, July 3, due to the traffic limitations related to the Independence Day Parade. The museum will re-open for regular hours on Monday July 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Thursday Artists” activities will be drop-in type with no formal instruction, designed so people can wander in and participate for a short period of time and wander out with something they have made themselves.
