Best-selling author Laurie Halse Anderson, of Mexico, will wrap up her six-week national book tour for her newest novel, “Chains,†at a fund-raising dinner to benefit the Oswego Public Library on Dec. 4 at The American Foundry.

Library Celebrates Grand Opening
The newly renovated building adds more than 14,000 square feet of space to the library. It also offers several other updates. Tania Werbizky of the Preservation League of New York State congratulated everyone on a job well done in saving and enhancing the building. Their efforts, she said, will be used as a model for others looking to save historic buildings.

Fulton Lions Club Gives A Lift To The Community
When it came to the attention of the Fulton Lions Club that all four floors of the public library in Fulton, NY were not accessible to all people in the community, the Lions decided to help out. It was decided that the proceeds of the annual Fulton Lions Club concessions fundraiser at the Fulton Memorial Day Salute 2008 would go to the Fulton Library Elevator Project.
