Four Degrees Of Separation To Open May 31

The Art Association of Oswego announces the opening of a new exhibition called Four Degrees of Separation featuring the artwork of Paul Garland, Nick D’Innocenzo, Sewall Oertling and Thomas Seawell. The exhibition will open with a reception for the artists on May 31 from 6-9 p.m. at the Oswego Civic Arts Center.

Council Votes 4-3 To Approve Amended Sewage Resolution

In February, the council voted not to accept any more sewage from Oswego Town except from single-family homes. SUNY Oswego, located in Oswego Town, is planning a large housing project. Currently, the city accepts sewage from SUNY Oswego pursuant to sewer use agreements. The college sought to have the February resolution clarified.

Oswego observes Memorial Day“Remember this number – 1,961,680. That is the number we should say thanks to for this day of summer fun,” said George Hoffman, the MC for Oswego’s Memorial Day observance. That is the number of veterans killed in action during our nation’s wars, he pointed out. To that, he added 601,710 POWs and 161,489 MIA.
