In the first of eight town-hall style meetings, the two candidates for the 48th District chair on the New York State Senate faced off and took questions from constituents Thursday evening at the Tavern on the Lock Restaurant in Fulton.
State Senator Darrel Aubertine has picked up the support of the most prominent citizen clamoring for change in Albany. Rochester billionaire Tom Golisano, once a third-party candidate for Governor, announced that his new independent political group will spend some of its $5 million budget to back Aubertine’s bid for a first full term.
The need to create secure and rewarding jobs has got to be our top priority. The problem is, Albany hasn’t yet gotten the message.
Standing at the entrance to SUNY Oswego, David Renzi outlined a vision for creating thousands of new jobs and revitalizing communities throughout the 48th Senate District by emphasizing the region’s strengths and supporting businesses that want to invest here.
“We’re bringing our campaign for change in Albany directly to the voters and residents of Oswego County,” the candidate said.
