Timmy J Smokes The Bud Light Supernationals Field at Oswego
Independence, Ohio’s Timmy Jedrzejek won his second Oswego Speedway Bud Light Super Nationals Friday coming up through a tough, tough supermodified field. The win was his first Supernationals with the Craig Reed Racing 8 and his third overall winged Oswego win.

Oswego State Volleyball Splits Action at Hartwick Invitational
The Oswego State volleyball recorded its first win of the season with a straight set (25-19, 25-19, 25-19) victory over Husson at the Hartwick Invitational on Saturday to bring its record to 1-3.

The Oswego State field hockey held off a late charge by Houghton College to win its season opener 2-1 on Saturday in Oswego.

Weedsport Grinds Down Hannibal In Football Season Opener
The Hannibal and Weedsport Warriors kicked off their 2009 high school football season at Eddie Goodwin Memorial field in Weedsport.  Although, the game was close throughout the first half, Weedsport’s ground attack proved to be too much in the end as they ran past Hannibal 40-12.

Alan Johnson Wins Regular Season Finale At Brewerton Speedway In Thrilling Last Lap, Last Corner Pass; Matt Sheppard Wins First Ever Track Championship
Good friends Pat Ward and Alan Johnson had a Battle Royal for the race win while three and sometimes four wide racing was seen throughout the entire 50 lap event. Johnson used a last lap, last corner pass of Ward to pick up the $3,000 payday.

Fulton’s Bateman Scores Again As SUNY Oswego Women Win
SUNY Oswego’s women’s soccer team has scored 16 goals in two games, and Fulton grad Michelle Bateman has three of them. Her goal against Cazenovia College Thursday started the scoring for Fulton in a 6-0 win.

Fulton Grad Makes Immediate Impact In Oswego State Women’s Soccer Win
Fulton grad Michelle Bateman scored two goals and had an assist in her very first game as a member of SUNY Oswego’s women’s soccer team. Bateman scored less than 30 seconds into the game, and again 7 minutes later. Oswego high grad Liz Miller drove home a long-range shot as well, as Oswego routed D’Youville, 10-0.

Oswego State Men’s Soccer Threatens Late, But Falls 1-0 To RIT
The Laker men’s soccer team took a corner kick in the final minute of play that was narrowly played out of the penalty box to help RIT preserve a 1-0 win on Tuesday afternoon in Oswego.
