A group of dedicated anglers will return to the Salmon River on May 7 – not to fish, but to pick up trash and debris – for their second annual Salmon River Cleanup. The Lake Ontario Tributary Anglers Council will meet at 10 a.m. at Fox Hollow Lodge, 2740 State Route 13.
The grays and browns of winter and early spring are finally gone. Flowers have poked up from the ground, flowering bushes such as rhododendrons are full of their softball-sized blooms, and trees, like this one in front of Oswego City Hall, remind us that nature comes in all colors.
No need to search for a robin. Don’t bother glancing at the calendar. Rudy’s is open for the season once more. That means spring has arrived and summer isn’t far away!
