Professors to Host Encore Edition of ‘Evening with Alan and Lawrence’

"An Evening with Alan and Lawrence," created by and starring SUNY Oswego professors Mark Cole (left) and Robert Auler, will return to Tyler Hall's Waterman Theatre for a 7:30 p.m. Nov. 23 showing. The comedy with music had its world premiere at SUNY Oswego last year and has also appeared at Studio 24 in Syracuse. Mark Cole, professor and chair of theatre at Oswego, wrote the script and plays Lawrence, an eccentric unearther of little-known musical anecdotes. Robert Auler of the music faculty portrays Alan, a virtuoso pianist. Gerard Moses will direct the performance, which made its world premiere at SUNY Oswego last year.

Comedian Owen Benjamin To Come Home For SUNY Oswego Performance

</p>Oswego native Owen Benjamin, now a comedian, actor and writer living in Los Angeles, will have a homecoming performance at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, in SUNY Oswego's Waterman Theatre in Tyler Hall. The college's Shaun Cassidy Fan Club Improv Comedy Troupe will open the show. For information or reservations, contact Tyler box office at 312-2141 or tickets@oswego.edu.

Benjamin is slated to co-star with Christina Ricci in “All’s Faire in Love,” tentatively scheduled for 2009 release. He started with a small role in the Adam Sandler movie “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry,” which led to a bigger part in “The House Bunny,” produced by Sandler’s Happy Madison production company.
