The Oswego County Drug Treatment Court program recently had its largest graduation class ever. This is a sure sign that the program is being successful in helping people overcome drug addiction, according to the organizers.
Activity is slated to begin this week to remove asbestos at the site of the former Thrift Store and More at West Second and Broadway in Fulton. The building was damaged in November 2007 when a neighboring structure collapsed. According to city officials, the remains of the building will be gone by mid-October.
Family Video Store representatives discussed their business plans for the corners of West First and Broadway during a community meeting Wednesday evening. Above all, the two worked to explain that the community will be welcoming a good neighbor.
Seven more people successfully complete the Oswego County Drug Treatment Court program. “They have turned the corner; they’re starting to rebuild their lives and putting their families back together. Those are the kinds of reward we are looking for,” one of the program’s facilitators observed.
