Jay John Barboni was sentenced this morning (Sept. 4) to 25 years to life for murdering a child. Barboni, 31, formerly of Falcon Drive, Liverpool, was convicted early last month of second-degree murder, a class A felony, and first-degree manslaughter, a class B felony.
The former Hannibal bus driver who was accused of having sexual intercourse with a teenager has been sentenced to prison time. Jeanine M. Buske, 33, pleaded guilty to third-degree rape and was sentenced to 1-½ to 3 years in state prison. Buske is presently in custody at the Oswego County Correctional Facility, awaiting transfer to a state facility.
Charges against the former Fulton lawmaker who was arrested in January for intentionally trying to deceive police will be dismissed after a year if he stays out of trouble, according to court officials.
UPDATED: Brad Bouthillier was sentenced to 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison. Earlier this year, he pled guilty to criminally negligent homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal navigation accident. Both are felony charges.
