National Grid Bringing In Extra Crews To Boost Restoration Efforts

National Grid is bringing in extra crews from outside of Central New York this morning in an effort to restore power for those who are still without power from the storm that blew through the area early Monday. Restoration efforts were strong through the day Monday, however. Working around the clock, company employees managed to bring the number of customers without power down from approximately 100,000 customers to approximately 20,000.

Without Additional Pre-K Students, Fulton Will Have To Return State Dollars

The benefit of additional state aid for the Universal Pre-Kindergarten program in Fulton may soon be lost if the district doesn’t receive a few more students. The district has to enroll 162 students by Oct. 1 or cut a refund check to the state for a portion of state aid money received for the 2008-09 school year. As of Friday, the district was approximately a dozen students short of that goal.

In recent days, David Renzi Esq., has been spreading false information about Senator Darrel Aubertine’s record on the property tax cap and about Darrel’s comprehensive plan to reduce property taxes.  In addition, Mr. Renzi seems to be promoting as new the very tax cap and mandate relief that Darrel voted for earlier this year.
