Police: Wrong-Way Driver Nearly Hits Oncoming Police Car
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department says Michael S. McCandless, 23, of 339 Main St., Phoenix, crossed from the southbound lane to the northbound lane at about 4:15 a.m. Sunday. Police say he nearly hit a police car head on.
Dinosaur-themed Math Night at Granby Elementary
Granby Elementary School recently held their third annual Math Night for students in grades 1-3. The math night theme, which was prehistoric, featured lots of dinosaur activities which focused on number sense and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics, and probability.

Lee Memorial Hospital official says that despite the state’s announcement that Oswego Hospital will receive a sizeable grant to make improvements to several of its departments, the goal of keeping Lee Memorial up and running has not changed.
