AmeriCorps Organizes Events for Oct. 24 ‘Make a Difference Day’
The Oswego AmeriCorps program will host three events Saturday, Oct. 24, for Make a Difference Day. Make a Difference Day is an annual day of service that brings communities together. The program is organized each year by USA Weekend and the Hands On Network.
“This year marks the 25th anniversary of ‘White Cane Safety Day’,†said Oswego County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann. “It provides an excellent opportunity for us to recognize the Vision Network for its priceless contributions as an advocate for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.â€Â
The Oswego Players and the Church of the Resurrection will present their seventh annual dinner show, a production of Neil Simon’s classic comedy, “Rumorsâ€Â, this coming Friday and Saturday October 23 and 24, at the church.
