Catholic Charities of Oswego County is helping families throughout Oswego County make their food dollars stretch a little further through their participation in the Food Sense Program.

This Friday evening is one of the major musical events of the year. An “Evening of Big Band Jazz” will showcase the Oswego Middle School Jazz Band as well as the Oswego High School A and B Jazz Ensembles. This year’s featured guest will be Lew Soloff who is known for his performances with Blood, Sweat and Tears.
The Oswego County Emergency Management Office/Emergency Medical Services will offer an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Original course beginning June 20 at Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department, 1 Lake Street, Pulaski.
The FBI is investigating the Oswego County Clerk’s Office and its assocaition with Info Quick Solutions, the Clay company that has done business with the county.
The Oz Roller Girls roller derby team racked up its third straight victory by topping the ManchVegas Roller Girls 194-147 on Saturday in Manchester, NH.
On June 8 the Emergency Services Program of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, in cooperation with the Food Bank of Central New York, will sponsor a fresh food distribution. Fresh foods and produce will be available, free of charge to those in need, from 4 until 6 p.m. or until food is gone.
The board of education voted 5 – 2 to approve extending Bill Crist’s contract through June 30, 2013. They also accepted several retirements, mostly from teachers.
Bertha M. Shepard, 83, of Fulton passed away Monday at home surrounded by loved ones.
Clarence “Al” Graham, 40, of Fulton, died Saturday at home.
