CNY Arts Center announces its third annual Arts Market and invites artists, crafters, antiques and food vendors to participate September 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the old Nestles parking lot on Fay Street. The Arts Market has become one of the most remembered events of the year for CNY Arts Center, typically with a wide variety of vendors and a crowd of shoppers.
Michael Thomas Pinko, 87, of Safety Harbor, Florida, and formerly of Fulton, NY, passed away on Sunday July 21, 2013, at Westchester Gardens in Clearwater, Florida.
Donald F. Scharf, 69, a resident of Oswego, passed away Friday July 26, 2013, at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
Ann H. Hall, a resident of Oswego and a former resident of Watertown, passed away on Monday July 29, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.
The Coast Guard rescued two men from Lake Ontario after they were reported to be overdue late Saturday. The men’s names and hometowns are not being released. Just after 10 p.m., a woman reported to Coast Guard Station Oswego that her son was overdue returning from a roundtrip voyage from Little Sodus Bay to Oswego in his 15-foot sailboat.

The Oswego County E-911 Office reports that Frontier telephone service in the Hannibal area has been disrupted due to a problem with a fiber optic cable. Customers who need emergency assistance should call 911 on a cell phone or go to a local fire station for assistance until the line is repaired.
