Rosamond Gifford Zoo Program Visits St. Luke Health Services

Residents at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego learned some new facts about animals, some familiar to our area, which are a part of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse; and even got to meet a few up close! Residents learned about the habits and habitats of eastern box turtles, opossums and parrots and were able to ask questions of the Gifford Zoo’s outreach educators who provided the program.

Oswego Public Library to digitize ‘Ontario Chronicle’

The Oswego Public Library recently learned from the Northern New York Library Network that they have been approved to digitize their collection of “Ontario Chronicle” the newsletter published during “Safe Haven” at Fort Ontario. The collection consists of approximately 27 newsletters covering the period of November 8, 1944, to August 2, 1945.
