At about 1:04 a.m. Wednesday, Fulton Police responded to the area of South Sixth and Rochester streets for a report of several people fighting with a knife possibly involved. Upon arrival, officers reported several people running from the area. While attempting to gain control of one of the defendants, an officer deployed the TASER. One Fulton Police officer did suffer a minor injury during the struggle.

Technology students at KMS launch water rockets

Seventh grade technology students at Kenney Middle School took advantage of the above average temperatures recently and launched water rockets outside of the school.

Fair Haven’s All Hallows Eve, Fantasy Witches Parade To Benefit Community Food Bank

The Fair Haven Chamber of Commerce’s All Hallow’s Eve and Fantasy Witches Parade will once again hit Main Street Fair Haven on October 26 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Ghosts, goblins, witches and cauldron brew will be in abundance at the village park. The Fantasy Witches Parade, now in its 15th year, will begin at noon.

Amy B. Ricchi, 93, a resident of Lacona and formerly of Oswego, passed away Monday October 14, 2013, at the home of her niece, Martha, in Lacona.

Oswego Kartway to Conclude Record-Breaking Season on Friday

The final event of the 2013 racing season at Oswego Kartway will take place Friday at the ‘Bull Ring’ starting at 7:30 p.m. The Kartway finale will feature double heat races for competitors along with main events in all 11 kart divisions that competed during the regular season.
