Rummage Sale to Support Lady Bucs Softball Team
The OHS Softball Players and Parents Association will host its annual fall rummage sale on October 26 from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. at the Oswego High School cafeteria. A variety of merchandise will be available including household items, clothing, knick-knacks, sporting goods, furniture, and more.
Halloween Costume Party for kids Set At First United Church
On October 25, starting at 7 p.m., a Halloween Costume Party for kids will be hosted by First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St. This is an annual old-fashioned party that includes group games, a costume parade with prizes and great refreshments.
‘Beast Wishes’ co-director to pay homage to horror aficionados in visit to college
Frank Dietz, a former SUNY Oswego student, Hollywood jack-of-many-trades and award-winning filmmaker, will screen and talk about his and Trish Geiger’s documentary “Beast Wishes: The Fantastic World of Bob and Kathy Burns” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23, in the college’s Campus Center auditorium.
Port City Proclaims October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month
The county legislature recently and city council on Tuesday night both presented proclamations recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month and honoring those who work to prevent such abuse. The goal of Domestic Violence Awareness Month is to raise public awareness of the epidemic of domestic violence in our country and to educate individuals on the impact and prevention of domestic violence in our communities.
