Red Kettle Fundraiser Under Way

Even though this is the 38th year of the Great American Smokeout, tobacco use is still the leading cause of preventable disease and death killing more than 25,000 New Yorkers every year. Locally, a group of health and human service providers are launching a new cessation program for pregnant and parenting women as part of the Great American Smokeout.
Upwards of 200 guests enjoyed a feast of locally raised foods at the Oswego County Harvest Dinner on October 18. The dinner was held at The American Foundry in Oswego and the 2013 event proved to be as successful in showcasing Oswego County agriculture as it has been in the three preceding years.
