Awards were given in three categories: years of service to ASA/USA Softball, registration increases and excellence in conducting ASA/USA National Championships in 2013. Among the recipients was Robert Farrell, New York ASA State Commissioner, recognized for his 25 years of service.

Sylvia Bonadio, 57, of Jersey City, NJ, was operating a 2013 Nissan Sentra eastbound when she struck pedestrian, Lee Bond, 49, of Harwood Drive Lacona, troopers said. Bond was crossing the dark roadway at the time. No charges are expected.
