The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee presented a proclamation to Oswego County Opportunities, Inc., designating November as National Runaway Prevention Month. Each year there are between 1 and 3 million homeless or runaway youths in the United States.

The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, long-term home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.

This training covered the topics of credentials of critical care air medical crews and pilots, utilization of air medical for trauma and medical calls that meet CDC and DOH guidelines, patient preparation for transport, overall safety aspects for air medical crews, ground crews and patients with landing zone preparation and helicopter landing.

The Department of Theatre and Dance at SUNY Potsdam will present performances of original dance works by student choreographers from Dec. 6 to Dec. 8 on campus. Fourteen SUNY Potsdam students who are majoring or minoring in dance have created 20 dance works for the concert, which is entitled “Kaleidoscopic.”

On October 30, members of the city of Fulton’s Tree Committee planted four trees along West Fourth Street in front of the city’s west-side water tower as part of their 2013 commitment to beautify our neighborhoods, city parks, waterways and main street corridors.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
