Oswego County Realtors Support Higher Education With Fajita Grill

The Oswego County Board of Realtors announced it will be sponsoring a fundraiser on Sept. 15 to benefit its high school scholarship program. Co-organizer Marilyn Boyzuick said that over the past few years, Realtors in the county have donated more than $40,000 to the high schools in our communities. “The OCBR would like to continue to support the your of our area in their pursuit of a college degree,” she added.

Annexation Battle Over; Fulton Taxpayer Burden Relieved

The two year legal land battle between the city of Fulton and the town of Granby was put to rest last week when the Fulton Common Council took the last step and voted to approve the new city map, which now includes the Wastewater Treatment Plant on city-owned property. “This is the last leg of the annexation,” Fulton Mayor Ronald Woodward said during the council meeting Sept. 2.

‘Classified Terminally Ill’ Author To Speak Saturday In Fulton

Local writers Craig Abbott and Joe Abbate, co-authors of Craig’s autobiography, “Classified Terminally Ill: My Story of Beating the Odds,” will be speaking at a ‘call for writers’ kickoff event on September 13 at 1 p.m. under the Bullhead Point Pavilion, Route 3. Craig will be discussing his connection to the playground at Hulett Park, known as the “C.V. Abbott Memorial Playground,” named after him when he was a baby and not expected to survive.
