The No. 1-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team tied No. 9/10 Plattsburgh 3-3 in overtime for the second-straight year at home, getting a crucial point in the SUNYAC standings at the Marano Campus Center Arena on Friday night. Oswego (17-2-4, 12-1-2) still holds a one-point advantage over the Cardinals (17-5-2, 12-2-1) in the league.
The Oswego State women’s basketball team fell 67-50 the Cortland Red Dragons Friday night in the Max Ziel Gymnasium. The Lakers finished their season with an 8-17 record, two wins better than the previous season. Cortland finishes the regular season with a record of 20-5 and 14-4 in the SUNYAC.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team played conference foe Cortland tough in a 56-47 loss on Friday afternoon’s Senior Night at Max Ziel Gymnasium. With the loss, Oswego moves to 16-9 overall and a 12-6 SUNYAC record while Cortland goes to 17-8 overall and 10-8 in the conference.
John and I have visited the 1000 Islands many times and love to tour the grounds of Boldt Castle where George Boldt, the owner of the Waldorf Astoria was building a European-style castle in the early 1900s. Waldorf Salad was an instant success when it was created by the Waldorf Astoria’s maître d’hôtel, Oscar Tshcirky in 1896. The original version contained apples, celery and mayonnaise served on a bed of lettuce. Chopped walnuts later became an integral part of the dish. Boldt insisted that it always be on the hotel’s menu.

She does well with other dogs and cats. Loves to go on car rides and enjoys doggy spa days as well. But definitely loves getting comfortable in her favorite bed during her downtime with her favorite toy.
At G. Ray Bodley High School, students have a plethora of courses to explore as they prepare for their future. In the coming months, guidance counselors and teachers will work with students to develop schedules for the 2015-2016 school year.
