Character.org recently awarded Millard Hawk Primary School with a 2016 Promising Practice National Award for their “Knots of Love” project that took place earlier this year.
Rick Sivers was a recent guest at the Oswego Rotary Club. Sivers described the process by which he researched and found the script and other materials, from the play – Way Down East – that was written in Oswego by an Oswegonian and became the longest-running show in NYC up to its time.
During regular business, the Fulton Common Council unanimously approved a resolution to schedule time limit parking on North Second Street between Oneida Street and Seneca Street. Currently, there are seven parking spaces on the east side of North Second Street that have no parking restrictions in front of four businesses including Northway Medical Associates, Esther’s Breakfast House, Short Cuts and Pawn Boss. The resolution has designated two-hour parking between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. for these seven parking spaces.
UPDATE: The bomb threat has been determined as not a credible threat. The high school will be in session tomorrow.
On May 10, at approximately 1: 50 p.m., a threat of a bomb was reported at the Oswego High School to school officials and the Oswego City Police School Resource Officer. The Oswego High School was evacuated without further incident at that time.

Members of the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team concluded a narcotics investigation into the sale of cocaine in the town of Albion, State Police announced today (May 10).
