The Oswego County Health Department’s Environmental Division will hold the 26th annual Tap Water Taste Contest (formerly known as the best-tasting drinking water contest) during Health and Wellness night June 9, at the Oswego Farmers’ Market on West First Street.
This year marks the 200th anniversary of Oswego County and communities across the county are celebrating with a variety of events and activities. Mark your calendar to join the fun in June.
On June 18, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Faith United Church, located next to the middle school at 12 Mark Fitzgibbons Drive, Oswego, will host its annual yard sale. Each person entering the church is given one or more bags to fill.
Each fall and spring term, the college’s Deans’ List honors those students who have a term grade point average between 3.0 and 3.5.
Seventeen students representing several Oswego County school districts recently graduated from Leadership Oswego County Youth, a program of the Oswego City – County Youth Bureau and SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations.
The Lakeside Artisans Cooperative will continue its popular art demonstration series during Oswego Farmers’ Markets on Thursday evenings again this year. The demonstrations will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. every Thursday in the Lakeside Artisans shop at 191 W. First St.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee presented David Turner with a certificate of appreciation for his 10 years of service.
State Senator Patty Ritchie announced she has secured $50,000 to assist the Fulton Public Library with repairs and renovations to its building. “Libraries are more than just places to find books. They’re important centers of learning and growth in our local communities,” said Senator Ritchie.
