Oswego attorney Scott DelConte has announced his candidacy for the open Oswego County seat on the New York State Supreme Court, Fifth Judicial District, which includes Onondaga, Oswego, Herkimer, Oneida, Jefferson and Lewis counties. “I believe my professional and life experiences, proven independence and personal values make me well qualified to serve as a State Supreme Court Justice,” DelConte said.

Some clothing styles are back in style: strapless prom dresses and low-slung pants – once called hip huggers. The senate sit-in brought to mind what a turbulent time it was during the ’60s and ’70s. What was old is new again – or so it seems. Woodstock was a gathering of young people who wanted to escape to a peaceful place and listen to music.

Students, parents and educators from the Oswego City School District are saying “thanks” to State Senator Patty Ritchie for her help in securing $150,000 in funding to help restore sports programs in the school district.
