A Safe Harbour conference, focusing on the issues of human trafficking and exploitation, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 7 at Lake Ontario Conference Center, 26 E. First St., according to Brian Chetney, executive director, Oswego City County Youth Bureau.
Due to low numbers of mosquitoes and recent test results that show no evidence of Eastern equine encephalitis virus, the Oswego County Health Department has decided not to conduct aerial spraying of the Toad Harbor area at this time. Although the mosquito population continues to decline, people in Oswego County should continue to protect themselves from mosquitoes until the first hard frost.
