Central Square Middle School students were charged with excitement as they got to cheer on their classmates at a recent robotics demonstration held in the school’s technology classroom.
Students at Hastings-Mallory Elementary recently introduced a very special visitor to their school. Published poet Rachel Guido deVries worked with fourth and fifth grade students to help them learn how to tap into their poetic creativity.
Boasting a score of 91.1 at the USBANDS competition in Massachusetts, they achieved the highest score of all ten bands that were competing at the show. The next day, they fought through the remnants of Hurricane Matthew and secured yet another first place victory at the New York State Field Band Conference competition at Arlington High School with an 85.7 total score.
