Hog Wild Jam Scheduled
ARC of Oswego County will hold its Hog Wild Jam on Oct 15. It will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Oswego Hibernians Club on Munn Street. The event will take place rain or shine. $10 includes a pork dinner with all the fixin’s.

Oswego County Opportunities Cancer Services Program of Oswego County applauds the recent legislation passed by New York State designed to help more women access breast cancer screening. The legislation includes the elimination of patient cost sharing for screening mammograms and requires hospitals and clinics to expand their screening hours.

Greenhouse Project Begins to Blossom at Hannibal Middle School
With the financial support of the Whole Kids Foundation School Garden Grant, students at Dennis M. Kenney Middle School are embarking on a multidisciplinary learning collaboration utilizing a greenhouse. In early September, members of the Hannibal Central School District’s Facilities Department assembled a greenhouse at DMK.

Media Summit To Examine Digital Impacts Across The Arts
SUNY Oswego’s Lewis B. O’Donnell Media Summit will return to Waterman Theatre at 3 p.m. Oct. 27, with an accomplished panel of Oswego-connected personalities whose work encompasses art, music, theater and communications — all four of the School of Communication, Media and the Arts’ disciplines. The theme of their hour-long summit is “Digital, Social, Mobile: How Media Trends Impact Theatre, Music and Art.”
