‘I Love Fulton NY’ Launches Website, Fulton Lions Donate Funds To Purchase Stage

The Fulton Community Revitalization Corporation has just launched a new website, ILoveFultonNY.com and a new Facebook Page, I Love Fulton NY. In addition, the Fulton Lions Club recently donated the funds to purchase a portable stage for the city of Fulton to be used at events in and around the city.

With the end of the 2016-17 school year approaching, local story reader Jim McKenna encouraged Volney Elementary students to remember one thing: good books are everywhere. He emphasized emotion and actions as he read aloud the first chapter of “How to Steal a Dog” by Barbara O’Connor and a couple of short stories to students in grades kindergarten through six.

State Police investigating a one-car rollover crash in Mattydale

On Tuesday, a 2003 Ford Mustang was traveling southbound on Lemoyne Ave. in the town of Salina when it attempted to change lanes. The Mustang exited the west side of the of the roadway striking a utility pole and rolling over a 3-foot cement wall, coming to rest upside down in the parking lot of Sweeneys Auto Repair. The driver was hospitalized.

Tim Conners Returns Home After “Intense” Summit of Mount Kilimanjaro

This afternoon at roughly 1:45, Tim Conners returned to his anxiously awaiting family after an adventurous two-week stretch in Africa. Conners, commonly referred to as Tim Possible, traveled the 7,556 miles from Fulton to the Kilimanjaro International Airport in Africa two weeks ago to begin his trek to the top of the highest point on the African continent as part of his MounTimPossible mission. On his twelfth day in Africa, Conners and his team partnered with K2 Adventures Foundation reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro at 18,885 feet after 53 hours of climbing over a nine day stretch.

Tesoriero Announces Bid for 6th Ward Councilor

A lifelong Sixth Ward city of Oswego resident, Ron Tesoriero, has announced his candidacy for the Sixth Ward seat on the Oswego Common Council. Tesoriero is a 38-year member of the Local 73 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and is currently the plumbing inspector for the city of Oswego, a job he will abdicate should he win the election later this year.
