State Police announce the arrest of Domenic J. Gioia, 41, from 956 Middle Road in Scriba, for two counts of Promoting a sexual performance by a child (D Felony) and one count of Possession of a Sexual Performance of a Child (E Felony). Gioia is accused of uploading images depicted as child pornography by use of the internet.
During the move in August of its central offices from the Education Center on East First Street to Leighton Elementary School, the district moved dozens of employees and a tremendous amount of infrastructure and equipment with the help of what Superintendent Dr. Dean Goewey said were often the “unsung heroes” of the district.

An artist’s reception for “Connie Carroll: Climate Change Series” will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2, at the gallery in the Atrium building, 2 Clinton Square in Syracuse. The exhibition will run through Jan. 31.
Murray Gould, president of Port City Preservation, will provide details on federal and NYS Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit programs. Gould, a national expert on historic tax credits, will educate owners of eligible residential and commercial properties how to utilize the program to help offset the costs of historic rehabilitation work.
SUNY Oswego has made Deans’ Awards to a select group of students who started at the college in fall 2017. The scholarships are $6,000 over four years.
