Christopher Sean Lilly, 57, of Oswego, formerly of Fulton, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse surrounded by his family after a long battle with chronic illness.
Samuel A. “Sam” Vescio, 91, of Fulton, passed away Thursday October 5, 2017, after a long illness.

Norman T. Bloss, 66, of Hannibal, NY, passed away on Friday Oct. 6, 2017, in Oswego.
John and I have stopped by the Harriet Tubman site in Auburn several times but it was never open. In January 2017 it became the Harriet Tubman National Historic Park which means it is open more days and hours so we finally were able to visit. Tubman was the most famous conductor on the Underground Railroad and often referred to as “The Moses of Her People.” She was born a slave in Maryland around 1820. She escaped to freedom and then returned to Maryland at least 19 times to helps others reach freedom in the North – most likely about 70 not hundreds as reported in some places.
State Police announce the arrest of Jeffrey P. Erskin Sr., 59, from Hannibal, for Course of Sexual Conduct 1st degree, a class “B” felony. Erskin is accused of having sexual conduct and intercourse with a female victim under the age of 13.
