The city of Fulton announced that the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Jubilee will be held on Thursday, December 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. The official City Christmas Tree is located across from the Fulton Municipal Building at 141 S. First St. The tree will be lit at 6:30 p.m. with photos with Santa following directly after in the Municipal Building Community Room.

The Oswego County Historical Society will host the annual Victorian Christmas Open House on Sunday, December 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Richardson-Bates House Museum at 135 E. Third St. in Oswego. A special live performance by local singer-songwriter Cam Caruso will take place between 2 – 4 p.m.

In a world dominated by acts of hatred, some 50 people gathered to celebrate the power of forgiveness to overcome the flames hatred and remember the great miracle that rekindled the hope of the Central New York region.
Madalyn A. Harris, 89, of Oswego, died Wednesday November 29, 2017, in St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse.
James J. “Jim” Ward, 80, of Fulton, passed away after an extended illness at the Syracuse VA on Tuesday November 28, 2017.
Burritt Motors has acquired Leon Shapiro Motor Sales of Oswego. A grand opening is scheduled for Dec. 15 at the Shapiro Motors 410 W. First St. location. The entire workforce of employees at Shapiro will stay in place and the new entity, Burritt Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, will continue to operate from the 410 W. First St. location.
