  1. It”s crazy that we can barely live in this world anymore.. Can”t afford to do anything..Taxes are Outrageous, food, gas, vehicles, roof over your head. and now trying to take away the fun things in life. It’s not right! We pay to enter these “parks” really are u losing money?

  2. This state is going to the dogs. what else can be taxed or closed. I thought the fat tax was bad–this is going beyond the question “Whats next”. It’s no wonder we are losing so many of our kids to other states.. Read the obitutaries– almost every one of them the survivors are OUT OF STATE..

  3. the picture above should sayit all — what a beautiful place and what a nasty thing to do :0(

  4. Closing Fort Ontario and possibly 41 other State Parks ?? Don’t take away the only natural beauty Central New York has left…

  5. My husband and I visit Fort Ontario several times a year, and have been doing so for years. We enjoy the battle reenactments and feel it is a great educational resource, a place where families can enjoy the scenery while they’re learning. When we visit Oswego we eat meals there, buy gas there and sometimes shop there. I feel that the money that would be saved is nothing compared to the money the fort brings into the community. Closing it would hurt our quality of life and would diminish all of us.
