The winner, Dale Hartzell, purchased the winning ticket at the Main Event Wine & Liquors at 843a E 149th St. in the Bronx.

Each spring, the 44 Rotary clubs in District 7150, Central New York, choose a junior in high school to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program. RYLA is a three-day experience held each June at Cazenovia College.

Parents and children had the opportunity to see the classrooms, meet the staff and learn more about the program. Oswego Head Start is operated by Oswego County Opportunities which is an agency of the United Way.

On Sept. 15 the Oswego County Humane Society will hold its Barn Cat Boogie in “the barn” at Fallbrook Recreation Center. The next day, the 16th, Strut Your Mutt, the Humane Society’s annual 5K run or walk and 1 mile family walk will take place in the same location.

“Wicked” Broadway star Kyle Dean Massey will sing hits from “Aladdin,” “Altar Boyz,” “Les Miserables” and even an original from his own senior recital in an appearance at 7 p.m. Sept. 18, at SUNY Oswego’s Sheldon Hall ballroom.

CNY Arts Center is more than 200 members strong! In a continuing effort to spread the word and promote the arts, the group has plugged away at a membership drive from its inception with every outreach, steadily recruiting as they accomplished a major benchmark with the opening of a facility in the lower level of State Street Methodist Church.

Rotary District Governor Lou Steppello, recently made his official visit to the Fulton Rotary Club. Long time Rotarian Joseph Allerton was awarded the coveted Paul Harris Fellowship Award.
