Family And Books Wraps Up A Successful Summer Program

Regular Season Finale Saturday At Fulton Speedway

This Saturday, September 5 at Fulton Speedway, will be the 2009 regular season finale with Track Champions crowned in all divisions. The DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, DIRTcar Street Stocks, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman and the Gladiators will all look to finish out the point season in style on Town Mechanical Night. One on One Spectator Races will also be contested. The great evening of family entertainment will start at 7 p.m.

Shepard Goes For 1st DIRTcar Big Block Modified Title Friday At Brewerton Speedway

Matt Sheppard is closing in on his first ever DIRTcar Big Block Modified Track Championship at Brewerton Speedway. This Friday, September 4 at the D-shaped Dirt Demon, Sheppard will look for another strong finish to claim his first ever title at the Oswego County facility. Lurking in the second position is Billy Decker, a four-time Track Champion at the Ultimate Drivers Track.

Barclay Urges Governor to Release $150 Million to Help Dairy Farmers

Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) today sent a letter to the Governor, urging him to release $150 million in federal stimulus funding to help New York’s struggling family dairy farmers. Barclay and other lawmakers are urging the Governor to provide assistance in what has been called the most difficult economic conditions in the state’s dairy industry history.

Spiritually Speaking: The Joys of Water Aerobics

My ideal exercise is water aerobics. I think that I burn as many calories laughing at myself as I do actually doing the exercises. Originally I had my own aerobics routine which combined movements from physical therapy sessions for a bad back along with actual aerobic exercises remembered from the class I took at the High School in Edwards many, many years ago. I hope that you will use up some calories laughing at what I am about to share about the joys of water aerobics.
