Local Trout Unlimited Chapter Hosts Fishing Event For Soldiers

On the 3rd weekend in May of 2011, the Tug Hill/Black River Chapter of Trout Unlimited hosted an event for wounded soldiers from NY State Programs of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing. These soldiers experienced a wonderful two days of fly-fishing in a serene setting on the Douglaston Salmon Run in Pulaski, NY.

Cayuga CC and Geospatial Institute Receive an International Award for GIS Programs

The Cayuga delegation was one of only seven K-12 institutions or universities and community colleges recognized with a Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award.Cayuga Community College and the Institute for the Application of Geospatial Technology (IAGT) received a Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award at the Esri International User Conference (Esri UC) in San Diego, California, on July 13, 2011. This award acknowledges vision, leadership, hard work, and innovative use of Esri’s geographic information system (GIS) technology.
