SUNY Oswego’s Artswego will be among only five arts organizations nationwide to host groundbreaking performances, campus residencies and community dialogues in the first year of a program aimed at fostering better understanding of cultures throughout the many-hued world of Islam.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Health and Human Services Committee recently presented a proclamation designating July 26, 2011 as Americans with Disabilities Awareness Day.
Susan presented a program, along with a slide show, of their recent trip to Tuscaloosa,Alabama in the Spring of this year when that area was devastated by a mile-wide tornado and severe flooding.
The Medical Assisting certificate program required 180-hours of career training with an additional 40 hours of externships at health care organizations in the area. Students learned the types of insurance coverage in a health facility, the various ways of receiving payment, common medical codes, and HIPAA privacy regulations, among other topics.
