Nearly two dozen John C. Birdlebough High School students were honored recently for their leadership and volunteerism during the President’s Youth Service Awards ceremony. The 21st annual event, held at the Phoenix Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5540, recognizes students who have dedicated their time to serve the community.

Golfers from throughout Oswego County and beyond are invited to register teams for a day of fun and fellowship that will help neighbors in need. The tournament is scheduled for a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
The Friends of History In Fulton, NY, Inc., will hold a chicken barbecue on May 7 at the pavilion at Bull Head Point, Route 3 West. It will start at 11:30 a.m. and last until sold out.
