On January 4, the officers of Lake Ontario Chapter Royal Arch Masons were installed for the coming year. The members of Lake Ontario Chapter gathered for supper provided by Ron Bond.

CNY Arts is excited to expand into a new art form. Beginning this month, ballroom classes will be offered in four-week sessions covering dance styles including waltz, foxtrot, east coast swing and salsa. The first session will begin January 9 from 7-8:30 p.m.
SUNY Oswego’s planetarium has returned to its regular shows at 7 p.m. each Sunday, offering “Back to the Moon and on to Mars!” during January and a different presentation each month through June.
During the holiday season, the employees of Oswego Health donated more than $4,000 to the Blessings in a Backpack Program. Blessings in a Backpack provides elementary schoolchildren on the federal free and reduced price meal program with a backpack with food to take home for 38 weekends during the school year.
Student council members from Emerson J. Dillon Middle School recently launched the annual Adopt-a-Cause campaign to help a local animal care organization.
On December 20, the Masonic Lodge held a breakfast with Santa and fundraiser for the Oswego High School Youth Band. The holiday season was wrapped up with a New Year’s Eve lunch at the lodge.
