The St. Luke Adult Day Health Care Program hosted an American Red Cross Blood Drive at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego. St. Luke staff and visitors took part in the blood drive, donating “the gift of life.”

The Salmon River International Sport Fishing Museum will host a “Fishing and Camping Show and Sale” June 6 and a “Celebrate Fishing Show and Sale” on June 13. Vendors, volunteers and people interested in all aspects of fishing are welcome to participate in both events.

On May 30 the P.I.T. Cru will be investigating Casey’s Cottage at Mexico Point Park just off Route 104 B. Experts will explain and set up equipment used to detect paranormal events then organize investigations.

SUNY Upstate Medical University’s leadership team visited SUNY Oswego recently as the two higher education institutions build ways to serve the region’s needs in research and development.

Emerson J. Dillon students were recognized by Principal Sue Anderson for being good citizens and demonstrating the qualities of being dependable, responsible, courteous, thoughtful of others, congenial, friendly and showing school pride through the “Dillon Way.”

Motorists are reminded that the month of May is “Buckle Up New York Click it or Ticket 2015.” New York will be participating in a “Border to Border” effort.
