The United Baptist Church of Scriba will be having their morning service outdoors in their pavilion behind the church building on Sunday August 27, at 10 am.  Everyone is invited to worship with us! Our Praise Band, and the group, Lost & Found, will be leading the singing. Pastor Colon Wright will be giving the morning message so prepare to be blessed!  Dress is very casual.

Matthew Squairs Named To Dean’s List At University Of Maryland Global Campus

Matthew Squairs of Cleveland was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.

Pawpaw Workshop To Be Held In September: Introducing Pawpaw Fruit For Small Orchards

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County will be hosting a workshop on pawpaw fruit for small-scale producers interested in establishing an orchard. This event will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Mexico, NY. The workshop will touch on the unique characteristics of the fruit, best growing practices, potential markets, current challenges, and establishing a working group for new pawpaw growers. The workshop will also include a farm tour of a small pawpaw planting recently established just outside the village of Mexico, NY.
