April Declared Fair Housing Month
The Oswego County Legislature proclaimed April as Fair Housing Month. Oswego County Legislature Vice Chairman Arthur Ospelt presented the certificate to members of the Oswego County Fair Housing Council.
According to articles based on a study out last week, many researchers believe that exposure to sunshine and lack of Vitamin D, which is naturally produced by exposure to the sun, could also be a factor in why the disease is more prevalent in North America.
The Professional Journalists and Communicators (PJC) of Oswego County is now accepting applications for the annual Muriel Allerton Scholarship Award. The $1,000 prize is awarded to a graduating Oswego County high school senior who plans to continue their education in a communications-related field.
The Oswego High School “Sounds of Spring” Wind Ensemble concert is this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Faust Theatre. This concert features the Oswego High School Wind Ensemble, which is a select ensemble of nearly 41 students chosen from the nearly 150 instrumentalists currently enrolled in the high school band program.
