Oswego County’s Opportunities’ Cancer Services Program’s Women’s Health Fair will be held Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Fulton YMCA. This free event, which is open to the public, will feature more than a dozen vendors and offer women an afternoon of fun, pampering and valuable information on women’s health issues.

On Memorial Day, Monday May 30, the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War honored the men and women who served in the Army and Navy during the American Civil War 1861-1865.
Oswego High School Principal Brian Hartwell along with Superintendent of Schools William Crist congratulated this year’s valedictorian and salutatorian for their outstanding academic endeavors. Justine Harrington will be this year salutatorian. Nikole Bonacorsi is the valedictorian.
The Tri-Oswego 2011 Triathlon is on the final leg of planning for the June 25-26 event and preparations are moving along smoothly, according to Ron Nelson, Tri-Oswego Race Director.
A chicken barbecue will be held on June 5 at Lakeview Lakes from 1-5 p.m. for Ken Abraham. He recently passed away. The benefit will help defray the medical costs and expenses his family has incurred.
