OCO Offers Free Cancer Screening Kits

In recognition of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, OCO, Inc’s Cancer Services Program urges men and women over age 50 to get screened for colorectal cancer.

Supporting United Way Brings Rewards

Carolyn Stevenson, a math specialist at Cayuga Community College Fulton Campus, was the winner of a three-month membership to the Fulton YMCA as part of United Way of Greater Oswego County’s donor incentive program. From left are: Executive Director of United Way of Greater Oswego County, Melanie Trexler; Stevenson; CCC Campaign Coordinator, Sue Witmer; and Resource Development Director for the United Way, Lois Luber.

In an effort to increase support for its 2010 / 2011 Annual Campaign and create additional excitement for in-house employee campaigns, the United Way offered special prizes as an incentive for supporting its campaign.

Auditions Set for Harborfest Children’s Musical

The cast of the children’s musical “The Three Musketeers” performs at Harborfest 2010.  This year’s children’s musical is “The Pirates of Penzance”.  Audition will be April 12 and 13 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the McCrobie Building in Oswego.Oswego Harborfest announced today that the 2011 Harborfest Children’s Musical will be “The Pirates of Penzance”. The Gilbert and Sullivan musical production was the fifth collaboration and their first to have its official premiere in the United States, on December 31, 1879 in New York City.
