Firefighters Plant Tree In Memory Of Fallen Brother
The Oswego Firefighters Association recently planted a tree at Elim Grace Church in memory of their fallen brother Scott Davis. Elim Grace donated food and the use of its rectory during Scott’s service last year.

Child Protection Committee Plans Community Forums April 28, May 3
The Oswego County Child Protection Advisory Council will sponsor two more community forums to discuss issues of child abuse and neglect, one in Fulton and the other in Central Square. Council members are looking for the public input on how people can take action to strengthen families and communities, and reduce incidents of child abuse and maltreatment.
Safe Haven Museum Hosts Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony
The ceremony will be a celebration of life, and the museum is asking visitors to bring flowers or plants to be planted around the museum in honor of those who passed during the Holocaust and in celebration of their lives.
Foster Parenting And Adoption Orientation Meeting Set
The Oswego County Department of Social Services will sponsor an orientation meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. on May 14, at the DSS Building, 100 Spring St., for people who are considering becoming foster or adoptive parents.
April Declared Fair Housing Month
The Oswego County Legislature proclaimed April as Fair Housing Month. Oswego County Legislature Vice Chairman Arthur Ospelt presented the certificate to members of the Oswego County Fair Housing Council.
Make A Living Wreath
On May 16 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. there will be a workshop on ‘Making a Living Wreath.’ This workshop will teach participants about horticulture, and the uses of plants in topiary artistic design.
Free Hearing Test Screening at Fulton YMCA
Kathy Brennan, a NYS Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser will be at the Fulton YMCA on Wednesday, May 11th from 11:30am – 3:30pm for a Free Hearing test Screening. The screening is open to the public 18 years of age and older.
