The SUNY Oswego Civic Engagement Program and Students for Global Change will sponsor a panel presentation Nov. 11 on the drilling technique called hydrofracking.

“Not everybody gets to say that they worked with a Nobel Prize winner,” said SUNY Oswego master’s graduate Michael Plante. He is one of over a dozen chemistry students of Dr. Augustine Silveira at Oswego from the 1970s to 1990s who can, as of this month, say just that.

The lunch program feeds children breakfast and lunch. Over 4,500 meals are served each day. About 60 per cent of the meals are “free or reduced price lunches.”

For the second consecutive year, a SUNY Oswego MBA student returned from Beta Alpha Psi’s international Project Run With It business consulting competition as a member of a winning team.

Jacalyn Ryan, employee benefits specialist for the Oswego County Personnel Department, announced she will retire after 26 years of dedicated service to Oswego County government.
