Oswego Professor Breaks Ground with New Book on E-Learning

Harrison Yang of SUNY Oswego’s curriculum and instruction faculty recently helped assemble the first comprehensive book on using Web 2.0 in education.
Now in its fifth year at SUNY Oswego, the project is part of an annual statewide community-service project by Student-Athlete Advisory Council chapters at all 11 SUNY Athletic Conference colleges. SAAC’s mission is to generate a student-athlete voice among Oswego’s 24 intercollegiate teams and to enhance school spirit within athletics.
Jeff Coakley, left, Vice President of Strategic Services at Oswego Health, was introduced by Rotarian David Nethercott at a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting. Jeff presented information about Oswego Health, Inc., a corporation that constitutes an integrated, comprehensive healthcare system and provides many services to Oswego County and neighboring counties. The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton’s Riverside Inn.
On Thursday, September 24, faculty, staff, and administration invited parents from both schools to attend a “Meet the Teacher BBQ†that occurred near the varsity football field. This event enabled parents and guardians to connect with faculty, staff, and administration in order to build positive home/school relationships.
