Joann Flint in the Teacher Spotlight

Flint was hired in 1977 at Minetto Elementary to teach first grade. During her tenure in Oswego she has taught first and second grade; looping with her students some of those years. The remainder of her years has been spent teaching Kindergarten. She also participates in Professional Development workshops and classes on a regular basis and is a member of the Web-Development Team that maintains the StudyZone on Oswego.org through the Learning Technology Grant.

Fulton YMCA Offers Classes For Youth

The Fulton Family YMCA is now in full swing running their fall fitness classes for youth and adults. For Youth – the YMCA has added a Kids’ Gym class for ages 9-12 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30pm – 5:15pm, and for Kids’ age 5-8 on Tuesday from 4:30pm – 5:15pm.

Positive Behavior the Right Price at Minetto

Bright red t-shirts emblazoned with “Behavior is Right” were donned by the faculty of the Minetto Elementary School as students arrived on opening day.

Positive behavior is a major concern for students throughout the Oswego City School District and the Minetto faculty decided to celebrate with a game show theme.
