Positive Behavior the Right Price at Minetto

Bright red t-shirts emblazoned with “Behavior is Right” were donned by the faculty of the Minetto Elementary School as students arrived on opening day.

Positive behavior is a major concern for students throughout the Oswego City School District and the Minetto faculty decided to celebrate with a game show theme.

OHS Summer Grads Receive Diploma

Bruce Leone was presented his high school diploma by Superintendent of Schools Bill Crist (left) and Summer School Administrator Sean Fahey (right) and they were joined by the graduate’s mother Dorrie Goewey and father Bruce Leone. Leone along with several other Oswego High School students completed academic requirements during the summer. Other students who earned their high school diploma were Aaron Brasher, Hector Cirino, Christopher Emond, Stephanie Ketcham, Brandon Legates, Chelsea Taylor, Dillon White and Alex Stein.

At a recent meeting, the Oswego County Historical Society (OCHS) welcomed five new Board of Trustees members. These members will help to keep the Richardson-Bates House Museum available for visitors to learn more about the history of their community. Seated, from left, are Barbara Hanley and Mary Roman. The keynote speaker for the event will be Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney. Mahoney is a life long resident of Central New York. Born into a large family, she grew up in Syracuse and graduated from Corcoran High School, Syracuse University School of Management and Syracuse University College of Law.
