Harborfest To Host Children’s Gala, Parade
Harborfest will host its annual Children’s Gala on July 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at historic Fort Ontario. Sponsored by Entergy, the Harborfest Children’s Gala is an entertaining evening that offers children aged Pre-K to 10 a variety of food, fun, activities and live entertainment.
State Parcels Out Economic Stimulus
In February, our state was awarded $24.6 billion as a result of the federal Economic Stimulus Package. The amount of stimulus money was unprecedented and was intended to be used to jump-start the struggling economy. As sanctioned by federal law, the state created its own Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Cabinet. This cabinet serves as a hub for which the funding is channeled. It’s also where universities, counties, cities, and, some cases, businesses and non-profits, may apply for stimulus funding.

Step One Creative Summer Scramble Posts Record Turnout
The Oswego Country Club held its annual Summer Scramble on June 29, with a record number of participants, according to tournament director Ed Fayette. The event was sponsored by Step One Creative, who announced that as part of its sponsorship of the event, a portion of each of the players’ registration fee would go Farnham Family Services.
