Bishop’s Commons in Oswego will host an educational program by the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter entitled, “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia,” on April 1 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Although it may be difficult to think of Spring this time of year, nicer weather will be upon us soon and so will the 2019 rabies clinics.

The Gardens by Morningstar will hold a hiring event for personal care aides and home health aides from 1 to 3 p.m. March 21, at the Oswego County Workforce NY office at 200 N. Second St., Fulton.

The Circle of Security Parenting program to break the cycle of abuse and neglect of children in Oswego County — founded locally by SUNY Oswego psychology chair Dr. Matt Dykas — recently made a big leap in momentum.

The contest entries were collected through December and all entries were carefully deliberated.

Author and sociologist Dr. Joseph Ewoodzie will discuss “Getting Something to Eat in Jackson and Other Stories of Our Social World” in an “I Am Oz” Diversity Speakers Series presentation at 6:30 p.m. March 28, at the Marano Campus Center auditorium (Room 132) at SUNY Oswego.

Several Oswego High School student athletes are well on their way to becoming fully prepared and life ready, thanks to the Oswego City School District’s academic and athletic programs.
